PERCUSSIONS - KHLHI (12") - Text - TEXT 029

First introduced to the world via "Bird Song", a contribution to the conceptual Fabric mix from Four Tet and a subsequent sell out 12" for Text, the anonymous Percussions project has now unsurprisingly been revealed to be the work of Keiran Hebden. KHLHI is the second Percussions 12" this week from Text (do check the Taraval record on the label too) and much like Ascii Bot, the two tracks here have a more pronounced usage of vocal samples. This is Kieran Hebden however so the way these samples are implemented means that they become an integral part of the track's structure as opposed to a cheap hook, with "Sext" pretty damn impressive.
